Compañía Guatemalteca de Níquel (CGN) is a subsidiary of Solway Investment Group, a firm that acquired the company in September 2011.

CGN has two Mining Exploration Licenses in the department of Izabal, granted to the projects FeNix ​​and Montufar. The FeNix project is located in the municipality of El Estor, it has an operating license and environmental studies approved by the Ministry of Environment. The operating license for the Montufar project, located in the municipality of Amates, is currently pending.
